You may have supported me during my run for Congress, stood by me as Governor DeSantis tried to uproot my life for my whistleblowing, or fought alongside me as we demanded accountability for climate change.
Today I’m writing you from Mesoscale News, my best-selling disaster science, climate justice, and pro-democracy newsletter that I’ve built from the ground up.
As the Trump regime guts critical science initiatives, denies the reality of climate change, and rewrites books in Orwellian horror—I’ve built this platform to ensure every person I can reach is informed, safe, and empowered to act.
As corporate media bends the knee to Trump and too often refuses to report accurate science information (if they cover it at all), I am asking for your partnership to ensure our community remains informed.
For years now, I’ve stood in the path of disaster, trying to track it, understand it, and—where possible—push back. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I defied threats from the state to make data public—because truth is oxygen, and people were suffocating without it.
Later, when I ran for Congress, it wasn’t to climb a ladder—it was to stand firm for science, community, and the fragile threads of democracy.
I later took a position with the federal government to put my expertise and experience to use building AmeriCorps’ climate justice program – only for the entire program to be cut during DOGE’s war on science in April.
Now, I write to you through this newsletter, and I once again am asking for your trust and support.
It’s not just commentary; it’s an effort to trace the fault lines between people and planet, to explain how those fractures became chasms, and how we might yet build bridges across them.
I’ve also used this space to help other whistleblowers bring the truth into the light, to expose politicians for lying, and to break important climate and disaster news.
My hope is that you will see the value in this work and upgrade to a paid subscription to help me continue this public service. I have never been one to sit silent, and I am not about to start now.
Join me by subscribing, as a free or paid subscriber. We cannot leave our fate to a corrupt President and a complicit media. Let’s continue to fight for science, for democracy, and for each other.
Sincerely,
Rebekah Jones

Behind every disaster is a scientist being ignored.
This rings true across nearly every story ever told — from the safety engineers silenced at Boeing, OceanGate and Surfside to the whistleblowers under attack for speaking out about social media, COVID-19 and fraudulent medical tests.
By spotlighting other whistleblowers, the stories I write here seek to amplify truth for those who may not get the kinds of media attention I had, and to add unique perspective to the most important topics of the day.
