Your points are well-taken, Rebekah, but it's hard for me to get upset with any distortion of facts on our side, given the magnitude of the continuing lies going on in the world of Trump. The bombing of the school kids in Iran is particularly upsetting to me. Calling it collateral damage or even blaming it on faulty intelligence given us by Israel makes it even worse. The trials at Nuremberg 75 years ago made it clear that following orders is no excuse for war crimes. I can only imagine the dilemma it poses for an American pilot. I can't help but wonder what would happen if a young captain or major refused to fly a mission to bomb an Iranian city because he consider the order illegal. What bravery that would take. But he had grown sick of the lies, and what else could he do? That would be a game-changer, though. Your narrative, as always was very thought-provoking.
