You are right Rebekah. Our country lives large and noisy. Not much thought time between the incident and the media's mouth. That is a mistake. We throw words like Terrorist, or Antisemite or even the word Hero around like jacks...just toss um out there with little thought. Those are powerful words that should matter. We cheapen them, and the truth, at a real cost.

It's not news they're after, but validation. And there are enough news sources more than ready to provide it to them. The Tea Party, the Silent Majority, MAGA, Christians who state Trump is a disciple of God, or, to call them what they really are, racists, are now being welcomed into the political debate. And it's really not much of a debate. Trump was right about everything (or anything) is all they know and want to hear. Make America Great Again is one of the most effective polical slogans ever. Four words, and that's about the length of the attention span of those who follow Trump.

False equivalency to gin up the US’s uninformed, knee jerk, reactionary, violent base to attack Muslims.
