The Joe Rogan Disinformation Show
Notorious anti-vax podcaster Joe Rogan started a Twitter campaign this week against Dr. Peter Hotez, Nobel Prize nominee and Dean of Tropical Medicine at Baylor University.
Rogan attacked Dr. Hotez for refusing to take cash in exchange for a Rogan-hosted “debate” on vaccine safety with Robert Kennedy Jr., a Florida lawyer with no education, experience or training in medical science.
Looping in equally prominent culprits of disinformation, including Elon Musk and hordes of DeSantis-supporting harassment accounts with blue checks, Rogan made false, conspiratorial and personal attacks against Dr. Hotez online.
Rogan’s viral attacks on Dr. Hotez led to anti-vaccine conspiracy theorists showing up to Dr. Hotez’ Texas home just hours later, where Dr. Hotez said he was accosted and harassed.
