The bar is set pretty low for 2024 – which is good considering what’s on the schedule.

Presidential primaries and the general election already saturate the news and commentary cycles. The ongoing conflict in Gaza, while increasingly pushed to the peripheries of mainstream news, will still consume a lot of airspace for the coming months. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the U.S. support of its resistance shows no slowing down. With record-breaking temperatures in 2023, weather and climate news may be a hot topic in the coming year (as it should always be). 

Looking forward to 2024:

Last year, I published 77 posts here on Substack, averaging one post every 4.7 days. I’m committing to bring that up to twice a week in 2024.

And I also promise not to devote more than 12 posts about the 2024 election. We’ll be inundated with election news all year – my perspectives and insight should be original, unique and limited to where I can provide something new and different on the news of the day. Once …
