The geographer who blew the whistle on DeSantis' failed plans to turn Florida's state parks into golf courses has been fired by the state, the Palm Beach Post reported.

News about the state’s plans were met with fierce opposition over the last two weeks, with DeSantis ultimately backing down, but not before DeSantis lied about the plans and his office's role in coming up with the scheme.

James Gaddis, a 41-year-old geographer with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, leaked the information after he was personally tasked with mapping out the plans.

The state fired him for that — and he’s now at the epicenter of the DeSantis revenge machine.

I’ve been in his position, as have many others.

He’s going to need — and he rightfully deserves — our help.
