Rebekah Jones’ Twitter account restored after 18-month political suspension

My @GeoRebekah account and its +350k followers was unexpectedly restored after more than 18 months of suspension for political speech last week.

Twitter’s official position on my suspension back in June 2021 was that I was permanently banned for violating its spam policy for over-sharing this Miami Herald article - a hard-hitting investigative piece about my time at the Department of Health.

But the email I received from Twitter notifying me that my account had been restored said that I had been reinstated as part of its program for those who were banned for political speech.

Odd. 

Either way, the virtual cesspool that is Twitter has gotten much worse in the last 18 months. More trolls, psybots, psyops and single-purpose hate accounts than ever before.
