When I’m invited to do interviews on the news or give commentary on a podcast, it’s almost always because something has gone terribly wrong.

That’s the job of a disaster expert — to be ignored when issuing warnings, only to be asked afterward to speak about how it all went wrong.

Today I thought I’d inject some less-tragic stories into your timeline, or at least hopeful updates on tragic stories, and give a shout out to authors on Substack I think you should follow.
