This is so important, to expose the efforts of white "christian" men to systematically rewrite the history that makes their descendants look bad. I'm currently reading The Barn by Wright Thompson. It's a fascinating account of the history of the Mississippi Delta and reveals the brutal reality that the "King Cotton" plantation owners grew fabulously wealthy on the backs of the slaves. There is no "both sides" rationalization for the horrific violence inflicted upon the slaves. We cannot let this history be erased.

Rebekah, you are always on point and timely. I grew up in the south and love so much of my heritage. But truth has to win out or what even are we? Thank you for putting my knowledge into words.

Brilliant and spot on as always. Clear writing. Strong logic flow. Well-researched factual content of both lies about slavery and climate change. Thanks for fighting with facts and history.

Spot on, indeed, Marco. Like reading a college thesis. She's an excellent speaker as well, and with her good looks, which doesn't hurt, I can see her as a national TV reporter and commentator. I do wish, though, she could find a way to speak to the Republican base. God knows they're in dire need of hearing a voice of reason once in awhile. Nick Gallup.
