A sitting Congressman fabricated an alleged attack on himself to garner sympathy

Ohio Republican Representative Max Miller's viral post about his alleged experience of being "run off the road" in an antisemitic attack appears to be more fiction than fact.

In his now-viral video, Miller claimed he was "run off the road" by a man who threw a Palestinian flag out the window at him while driving on the highway.

At least, that was what Miller's original post on X claimed.

Miller edited the post, changing "threw a Palestinian flag out the window" to "waved a Palestinian flag at me," to “showed a Palestinian flag,” according to his post edit history on X.
